Royals lead best of 7 AA Semifinals 3-1
Game 3 of the best of 7 went Saturday night in Ripley.

The front half of the 1st period saw the Royals come out firing, notching 4 goals within 10 mins, while holding Ripley off the board.  #15 Matt Zilke (assisted by Christner) got things started at 16:49 followed closely by another from #9 Collin Hartwick (assisted by Killing) at 16:19.  #14 Drew Gerth (assisted by Kienapple) gave the Royals a 3-0 lead at 15:22 before #91 Erik Robichaud (assisted by Kienapple/G.Noyes) added a 4th at 10:05. 

Soon after Ripley received a 1 man fight penalty that saw the Royals earn a 9 minute power play.  The Royals were unable to score and ended up with one of their own in the box towards the end of the PP.  After 1 period it was 4-0 Royals.  

The 2nd period saw the Wolves offence starting to score but before the end of the period the Royals had added 3 more.  After 2 periods, the Royals held a 7-3 lead.  The 3rd period saw each team trade a goal with #89 Jon Jutzi assisted by Jensen van Boekel netting the last goal of the game.  The Royals took Game 3 and a 3-0 series lead home with them Sunday.  Drew Gerth picked up a hat trick while Jensen van Boekel picked up the win in the pipes.

Sunday's matchup saw the Royals lose a tough one in front of a large crowd of supporting fans.  With little left in the tank, the guys managed 1 goal from #14 Drew Gerth (assisted by Kienapple) while Ripley put up 4.  With 4 games now complete, the Royals will try to move on starting with Game 5 Saturday night in Ripley 7:30pm.  If needed, Game 6 would take place Sunday afternoon 2:30pm in Tavistock with a potential Game 7 on Tuesday evening in Ripley.
