The Royals announce the signing of goaltender Andrew Masters to the club. Andrew comes to the club after most recently playing in the NPHL. Masters spent his Junior years playing with the Paris Mounties (Jr. C) (alongside teammates Zach Shomphe and Mitch Atkins), St. Marys Lincolns (Jr. B) and the Georgetown Raiders (Jr. A) where he was awarded Goaltender of the year in the 2015-2016 season.
Andrew then graduated to University Hockey with a stop at the Miami University (Ohio) NCAA before finding his home with the Guelph Gryphons from 2017 to 2021 where he helped anchor the team to secure the coveted Queen's Cup (OUA Championship) during his 2019-2020 season. Following University, Masters went on to play in Sweden's Division 2, France 3, Australia AIHL and finally BeNeLiga in Belgium in the 23-24 season.
Please join us in welcoming Andrew to the Royals and he joins our core goalies Zach Shomphe, Joseph Clark and Graeme Noye as we head into the busy playoff stretch next month.
