Royals take game 6 and move on to the AA Semi-Finals!
After rescheduling Saturday's night's home game due to a late winter blast from Mother Nature, the Royals returned home for a 1:30pm game on Sunday in Tavistock.  Saugeen had a bit of a scare on the trip down when the vehicle carrying their equipment was involved in an accident, luckily everyone was ok and we were able to patch together some equipment for the game to proceed.

Scoring opened up at 12:43 in the 1st period with a goal from #8 Chris Dimmers assisted by #16 Sean Leslie while Saugeen answered back at 11:41 with the tying goal.  #15 Matt Zilke helped the Royals regain the lead at 10:35, assisted by #9 Collin Hartwick.

Saugeen scored the only goal of the 2nd period at 18:03 leaving us tied at 2-2 after 2 periods of play.

#9 Collin Hartwick from #5 Geoff Killing and #10 Sean Kienapple put the Royals up 3-2 at 18:18 in the 3rd frame, with Saugeen tying things back up at 6:45.

After a clean sheet of ice we were into overtime with Tavistock controlling much of the play while #30 Jensen van Boekel shut down any scoring attempts.  At 6:01 of Overtime on the powerplay, #16 Sean Leslie netted the game and series winning goal off the redirect from #5 Geoff Killing.

The Royals have a weekend off while they await the winner of the Clinton/Minto Series (Minto leads 3-2) to determine if we will be facing Ripley or Seaforth in the AA Semi-Finals.

Thank you to Tavistock Titan U11 AE Player Isaac Brenneman for skating the flag!
